Fourth WEEK  OF  ROUND-ROBIN  PLAY

21st  NOVEMBER  2008

NOTE: The fields are now 1 & 2 left beside the entry,  5,6 & 7 in front of the Clubrooms.

The Teams have now been graded and assigned divisions that equate to the displayed skills and historical and known talents.  There will always be disagreements but this way we have large groupings so that if you feel your team has been disadvantaged, then you still have a fair number of weaker teams in the same division.  And the rotation takes a while before it comes around again.  I have received some requests for change, and will wait till Xmas before decisions.

Please follow the rules of playing in only one Senior team or both teams (with the same player) results could be forfeit for the night.

From this week onwards, if you miss a referee duty, then you will lose 1 Match point.  This was common last year.

Every year we have a problem with rough play, in particular, SLIDE TACKLES.  Last season as with others it was only allowed in the Senior A Division.  CHARGING will be treated similarly.

NEW RULE:    NO slide tackles in ALL grades.  Play the game on your feet.  Award a penalty.  Second offence, name taken and RED CARDED.  NO PLAY FOR NEXT 2 WEEKS.  Any dispute will be with the Convener and Game Referee that evening.

This rule is effective immediately. GS.

Note: For those teams who have not paid any fees yet, now have a further $20 added to their charge.  Your fees are now OVERDUE.
